Sorrows Underneath

I think of all my problems,
I think of all my pains,
I think of all my sorrows,
Until I go insane.

I think of all the smiles I've worn,
Which hide sorrows underneath.
Noone seems to notice,
That I go through so much grief.

My tears seem to keep following,
Inside my tired eyes.
Each time I want to tell you,
My words come out as lies.

These days i'm feeling distant,
Far away and weak.
My sadness pulls me further,
From the happiness i seek.

I've just begun to realize,
That my hopes and dreams are gone,
I'm walking down a dead-end road,
Humming a tuneless song.

I'm standing on a rooftop,
Although I'm scared of heights,
I'm watching the cars beneath me move,
And somehow this doesn't feel right.

Now I think of what I'm doing,
I know I should find a way,
To beat through my depression,
Will I be able to someday?

Someone might be there,
To help me make it through,
Maybe they will listen,
And tell me what to do.

I'm seeing through the darkness,
And I'm starting to trust a few,
I think I'll try to make it,
So I can be there for them, too.

When someone special leaves you

Days pass by somehow,
But nights now are a wagon of pain.
Injuries may heal with time,
But marks will always remain.
Restless on my comfortable bed,
I toss and turn and try to sleep.
But thoughts are bulking my head,
And have formed a huge heap.
The past is flashing its scorching light beams,
Tearing me apart, breaking me at the seams.
The darkness of my life is more visible in the dark,
And now I am trying to give it a voice, trying to speak my heart.

When distances got you,
But you still hold on.
When boundaries limit you,
But you still move on.

When the thought of losing someone,
Gives you shivers.

For fears.

In someone’s smile.

That you kept with you for quite a while.

Find a guy, who calls you beautiful instead of hot.

Who calls you back when you hang up on him.

Who will stay awake just to watch you sleep.

Wait for the guy who kisses your forehead.

Who wants to show you off to the world when you are in your sweats.

Who holds your hand in front of his friends.

Wait for the one who is constantly reminding you of how much he cares about you and how lucky he is to have you.

I was watching you sleep the other day,
And prayed that it would last.
The peace that rested on your face,
I’d never seen in the past.

I was watching you speak a while ago,
And hoped that you’d go on.
